The Iranian Foreign Minister praises Tunisia’s positions on the war in Gaza


On the occasion of his working visit to Geneva from December 11 to 14, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Nabil Ammar, spoke with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir Abdollahian regarding bilateral relations, and they stressed the need to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in various fields, such as science and economics. Trade and education.

According to a statement issued today, Wednesday, December 13, by the Foreign Ministry, the meeting allowed for a review of the positions of the two countries regarding various current international issues and the situation in Palestine.

In this context, the Iranian Foreign Minister praised the initiatives and positions that Tunisia defended on this issue, nationally and internationally, as well as Tunisia’s reception of sick and wounded Palestinians.

For his part, the Minister reaffirmed Tunisia’s firm support for the Palestinian people, and stressed the necessity of an immediate and permanent ceasefire.

He also expressed his “deep dissatisfaction with the inability of the international community to confront the genocide against the Palestinian people.”
