El Ghazi, Cemeroonian counterpart discuss exchange of experiences on employment policies

ALGIERS-Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security Mohamed El Ghazi met Tuesday with the Cameroonian Minister of Employment and Vocational Training, Zacharie Perevet bilateral relations and the exchange of experiences on policies in the field of labor, the ministry said in a statement.

The two sides reviewed the state of bilateral relations and « the exchange of experiences and views on policies and measures in the areas of labor to reduce the unemployment rate, » the statement added.

In this regard, El Ghazi focused on efforts by the authorities in Algeria as part of the national employment promotion policy, the fight against unemployment and different public mechanisms and tools for support to employment and the development and strengthening program of the national social security system.

In the same context, the Minister outlined the measures being considered in order to « improve and develop the performance of these tools and programs to provide them more efficiently. »

For his part, the Cameroonian minister made a presentation on the employment sector and vocational training in the country and efforts spent by public authorities to improve and develop these policies.

Perevet has expressed interest in the Algerian experience in the field of employment policies « and his « willingness to take advantage of this experience. »

He also praised the experience of social dialogue part of Tripartite he described as « a pioneer in this field. »
